Cemetery project has been emotional.
A new tomb for the Unknown Soldier was installed at Fairview Cemetery on Friday as officials prepare for next weekend’s official military funeral where he will be laid to rest in the raised crypt. “It’s been a very emotional project — really quite overwhelming because things have come together so quickly,” said Mark Richardson, manager of cemetery services for the City of Niagara Falls, while watching the tomb being installed by Kirkpatrick Stoneworks, one of the many project partners.

Kirkpatrick / Rigg Mooney Monuments moves its Niagara Falls location a “stone's throw" away from Fairview Cemetery
On Mar. 25, 2019, Kirkpatrick Stoneworks and Rigg Mooney Monuments announced they are moving from the current Queen St. location to 4065 Stanley Ave. right on the corner of Thorold Stone Rd. and Stanley, effective April 1st. The newer, more modern, spacious showroom will have ample parking for patrons.
